Bringing a new fashion label into this already overly saturated industry doesn't come without a multitude of obstacles, and challenging questions. One of the most important ones to TheDESCENDED was how to make this the most sustainable and environmentally considerate label we possibly can. It seemed unimaginable to start a company in our current climate, without considering this.

Using dead-stock fabrics and a ‘make-to-order’ production method, we aim to minimize the amount of waste that is produced with every collection.

The majority of fabrics used are handpicked here in London, eliminating the need for excess overseas shipping.

We aim to be as transparent and truthful as possible, in time, as we grow it's more than likely our production method may evolve, and our fabric sourcing may branch over to other countries... The question of sustainability will always be at the forefront of any decisions we make, and we hope with growth, comes opportunities to explore the world of sustainability deeper.

All packaging is made from recycled and recyclable materials, we encourage our customers to also consider their footprint, and re-use and recycle their DESCENDED packaging.

As a small company at the very beginning of its journey, we are constantly learning, and as we grow we look forward to improving our recourses and knowledge to tackle our environmental impact more and more with every season.
